I'm thinking that if squid is not the desired option, then running ipchians
or the 2.4 kernel firewalling code and logging stuff bound for port 80 might
do the trick.

Mikey, you do some of this, right? What's your approach?

Hmm... I'm also thinking that squid, being a proxy, will break some websites.
I run junkbuster here, and have trouble authenticating and staying logged in
to a few sites (like my yahoo account).
