Hello,

I upgraded from 7.2 to 7.3. Everthing went well except that the CDRW is
not recognized at all. There is no /dev/cdrom. Making a link to
/dev/scd0 doesn't help when I try to mount /mnt/cdrom resulting in
message not a block device.

The boot message is

The system is P3 550 Abit 524MB RAM Sony ATAPI CDRW CRX140E. I have read
the CD-Writing How to and followed those instructions but believe this
problem is not addressed there. I have tried depmod -ae. So what do I do
at this point?

Thanks,
Craig Jackson
