Yeah we're the offshoot from the team that finished 4th in the 2005
Grand Challenge. We also much less successfully competed in the Urban
Challenge in October. We got eliminated from the qualifying event at
the last test when we encountered some sort of GPS interference /
outage.

We switched to QNX from BlueCat Linux because of cost, driver issues,
and compatibility with the real time Java VM we use. I have managed to
convince anyone else that rolling our own embedded linux was a good
idea.
