OK we have a success!!

Plugins/Place does the trick.
All I needed to do as preparation is to make the windows virtual machine
to run full screen by default. BTW. I'm currently using VirtualBox OSE
instead of VMware. VBox OSE comes with Mandriva by default and it
actually seems to be working quite well. One negative characteristic
though..... One can not resize the virtual partition afterwards.

In CompizConfig Settings Manager, I went to Window Management, then
enabled "Place Windows"
In Place Windows plugin config, I selected "fixed Window Placement" tab
and added
class=VirtualBox 3 0
to the bottom config box. (Windows with fixed viewport)
closed the CompizConfig.

Then tested by running in command line
"VBoxManage startvm Winblows" where "Winblows" is the name of the
virtual box.

Voila!!
Windows started up full-screen in the last desktop.

Now I can either start winblows during the logon process, or set a
desktop icon to start it....... Most likely I'll set up a desktop icon,
because base OS uses only 200Mb of memory when fully running with all
the eye candy, and winblows wants at minimum 515Mb.... Or in my case
since Windows is there to primarily run Photoshop, I need to allocate a
Gig. Who knows some day in the far far future, Linux has the image
editing app. comparable to Photoshop.

Out of all Linux "photoshop" equivalent wannabees, probably the closest
one is Pixel (http://www.kanzelsberger.com/pixel/) Still in beta, and
quite affordable for $44.

Thanks for the good hints guys!

Petri
