Joey had expressed interest in maybe having a music meeting soon... If
we do that, I definitely want to bring along my new toy. My modular
synth is coming along really nicely, it's almost a fully featured
"synthesizer" to where it will be fully playable. Any modules I add
from that point on will purely add to its timbre. This thing is
literally the linux of musical instruments. Rather than buying a
Roland, Yamaha, Korg, etc... this thing is like giving you the source
code to a synthesizer and you can wire it up however you want, to
achieve any type of sound imaginable. Not sure how many of you are
familiar with Moog synthesizers, especially the Minimoogs they make
nowadays. Well, this will be similar but far more flexible. The
original Moog synthesizers from the 60's were modular, and were truly
the first playable synthesizers ever made. That's what this is
modeled after. Should be fun. :) Here's some photo links below:
