I usually get 40-50 ms to google.

pinging speedtest.no.cox.net returns:
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 76.418/76.496/76.567/0.356 ms
but the speedtest app consistently claims 150ish ms.

batonrouge.cox.net yields about 51 ms, but they are much closer. Bit
of asymmetric routing too...
