Hello,

Must qualify myself as a network administrator who used to bottom-line
400+ LTSP terminals and the 9 LTSP servers they ran off of.

There are a couple of major benefits from using terminals: Cost and
Ease of Maintenance. The ease of maintenance (over time) will offset
the initial costs.

Suse KIWI LTSP is the current way to go if you need a fast and stable
solution. As for Beowulf . . . ask #ltsp on Freenode if anyone has
stories to share about running Hadoop under local-client execution.
As for HA - check out ltsp-cluster which is integrated into KIWI.

Best of luck,
Charles Paul
