Job description as posted is as follows:

*NETWORK SUPPORT ANALYST*

The individual who fills this position will be domiciled at our primary data
center in Baton Rouge and will provide support for a state-wide network
infrastructure servicing the New Orleans academic campus, seven (7) state
hospitals and ancillary clinics, LSU Healthcare Network facilities and other
facilities where LSU Health Sciences Center provides healthcare and support
services.

Primary position responsibilities include:

1) Develop network designs and proposals

2) Configure, install, monitor and support network devices, including
Cisco Systems routers, switches and wireless devices

3) Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation

Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas are required:

1) Ethernet Local Area Networks

2) 802.11 Wireless networking utilizing Lightweight APs with Wireless
LAN Controllers

3) Wide Area Networks utilizing Metro Ethernet and T-1 circuits

4) Troubleshooting experience using sniffer software packages and/or
other diagnostic tools

Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas are highly desired:

1) 802.1x

2) IPv6

3) Routing including OSPF and BGP

4) Quality of Service

5) Voice over IP

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
