Charles Paul was *bashing* capitalism, not criticizing it.

But then, maybe I have a stricter-than-normal definition of "criticize":
to discuss the merits or demerits of a thing or person; esp., to find fault.

Capitalism, the "free market" and republicanism (aka representative
democracy) are all significantly less than perfect. The only problem is
that no other forms of economic and political organization bring such
prosperity and freedom to so many people.

Yes, Capitalism, the "free market" and republicanism *have* brought
incredible amounts of prosperity to everyone in developed countries.

If you don't believe me, compare a poor person from 100 years ago to a
modern poor person (who has heat in the winter, television, a telephone,
adequate food and clothing).
