Not quite... CentOS 4 is EOL in February 2012.
CentOS 5 is EOL March 31, 2014.
CentOS/RHEL 6 third party package support is getting better, but there are still
many third party components that are still only available for CentOS4 and 5.
6 is great if it meets your requirements.
64-bit is great if it helps the install meet its requirements.
One size does not fit all.
