I left you a voice mail and wanted to follow up via email as well. My
employer, CGI, has an opening for a Red Hat system administrator in New
Orleans. Given your involvement with the New Orleans Linux Group, I was
hoping to speak with you about the opportunity and possibly some
insights into staffing the position. I am not familiar with New Orleans
so I do not have any Linux contacts or networking channels there. We
have interviewed some candidates, but have not found any solid
candidates. I have been using and administering Linux for several
years, and as a result am viewed as “that open source guy,” which is
fine with me. Like you, I firmly believe that open source can provide
numerous benefits, as industry has successfully proven.
If you have time, I would very much benefit from a conversation.
