Hi Joey.
When we talked I said that I didn't want to do business on the list, but I
guess that it's worth answering questions at least. I hope that I don't go to
far and overstep any boundaries. If so, please let me know.
> The only bad part is he charges $75 to come out and hook you up.
> Self-installs aren't available.
I normally don't like self installs because half of them don't work out, they
annoy most customers, and I end up spending as much time on the phone helping
them as simply going and doing it. I sleep better knowing that the install is
done right, too. :-)
But I'll make an exception for you guys since you are an informed group. I'll
drop it to $50. I've got to pay BellSouth that much. :-)
I generally don't try to compete on price. I offer better service than most
and am happy to deal with custom setups. My main focus is small businesses and
power users. I don't charge extra for multiple users, or make you use my
equipment. My business pricing includes domain hosting, web hosting and email
hosting. In other words, I try to offer complete packages.
> They can have you up and running in days, not weeks like DSL.
Actually, this depends on who you get DSL from. For example, I normally quote
1 week lead time. Actually, it's less - normally 2 or 3 business days to be
exact.
OK, I'm going back to read-only mode unless asked something. :-)
