Ok, folks, it's time for another hit-and-run linux gathering... this time
we're meeting in Lafayette!

Seriously though, Wendell has put together a meeting of the minds, so to
speak, of all of the LUGs throughout the state. It looks like many of the
guys in the Baton Rouge LUG are going, from the list traffic they've been
generating. Also some folks from north Louisiana will be there.

If anyone would like to go, please speak up. In fact, I'm going to bum a
ride
from someone ;-)

Also, as I posted earlier, I've put up a mailing list for inter-LUG
communication. You can subscribe to that list by sending a email to
majordomo@joeykelly.net with a subject reading "subscribe lalugs".

Subject: LA LUG Get-Together This Saturday

Well, it's been finalized that we will get together this coming
Saturday, the 28th, at the offices of Lafayette Data Systems
about 11 AM (or as soon as you can make it). Depending on how
many people are planning to come, we will either have lunch there
or go to a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will talk about what
each group is doing and any experience they have to pass along,
followed by suggestions and discussion of possible inter-LUG
activities.

Please e-mail me a list of names of the people coming from each
group by Wednesday, if possible, so that I can have some name tags
printed. I'll never be able to remember the names otherwise. :-)

I will send out directions, etc. to anyone who needs them, so
indicate on the list the e-mail addresses to send them to.

I look forward to meeting as many people as possible.

Thanks,

Wendell Jones
Lake Charles Linux Users Group
