The famous Internet Explorer will display your login and password in
the status bar when downloading files over FTP for every passerby to
see. I use to run FTP so that I could get to my stuff when I was on
a Windows box. Now I just carry one of those micro drives (pocket
USB hard drives) with putty and winscp on it. The micro drive comes
in handy, because some of the computers at school do not let you
write to the C: drive. The micro drive picks up the next drive and I
can write whatever I want to that.
