There's a utility called "memtest"... I have it on my site, in
http://joeykelly.net/hacks/linux/. It's a marvelous memory testing app....
You can use it to verify which modules are good, and which are bad.

One other thing comes to mind... it may be that you're mixing ram types, or
speeds. For 72-pin ram, there was EDO and Fast Page, for example. Mixing
speeds can't be a good thing.
