Idunno if I'd be comfortable with 777 - perhaps 755 or 775 (depending on which group owns it) might be more appropriate for /home.

Trouble is both users aren't in the same group. One user only uses this computer when visiting every two weeks from MS and isn't computer literate enough to do anything malicious. I did change it to 775 before I got your message, though. And there's nothing in /home but subdirectories for the individual owners.
