In my copy of evolution, I'm presented with a button with a drop-down
list. Clicking on the button shows the file.

Opening the drop-down list shows "Save Attachment...", "Hide", "Open in
gedit...", "Open in GNU Emacs...", and "Open in vi...".

If evolution has an option for automatic execution, I don't see it.
