If you want to run Solaris, then download a copy of Solaris x86. It's the
only major commercial unix that will still run on Intel. I will tell you
it is a major pain in the ass to install, and the hardware support is
horrible. Make sure your network card is supported first... and if you
want X, check the video card too. At one time i had a box dual-booting
Linux and Solaris 7, but that was a while ago...
Definitely won't hurt to learn some Solaris. In many cases, Linux spoils
us a lot....haha
