Y'all,
As you probably noticed, our website is down. Scott had been hosting it on his
employer's server, and apparently his boss decided to take the servers down
for some off-the-wall reason.
Unless something else comes up, we're leaning toward putting the site on my
server (I already host the mailing list, as you all know). I'm going to
attempt to put up phpSlash instead of postnuke, which is what Scott had. I
know that sounds foolish at first glance ("why not use what Scott used, and
import his old data, etc.?"), but I joined the phpslash development team a
couple of weeks ago as a doc writer, and needed an excuse to put up phpslash
so I could get familiar with the project. Two birds, one stone.
We still have the old content, and will be able to put up an archived copy of
it (all the articles, etc.), so in the end everything should work out ok.
Hey, look at it this way... if there are problems with the site, you get to
complain to one of the project developers about it ;-)
