It's an old RH 7.3 and it's not using iptables.
Additionally, there is a portsentry running on that machine and if I add
iptables to the system, I'm not sure how it will affect it.

Would the line below affect before any log entry would be created?

I'm sure you've considered "iptables -A INPUT -s 68.15.168.139 -j DROP",
right?
