If you are talking about ASP.net, the HTMLWriter does browser detection
and outputs javascript + ie dom + html for IE and HTML 3.2 (perhaps 4)
for non-IE browsers and requires them to make extra trips to the server.
I was more curious as to how ie "runs .net code" as I hadnt really heard
of it before.
