Another player is vlc. kvlc is the KDE frontend for vlc. There is
also a mozilla plugin for vlc.
The four players I know of are:
vlc
mplayer
xine
gstreamer
I've had the least luck with gstreamer, but each of the above media
player systems has a multiple frontends for both Gnome and KDE.
