Basically, the guy wrote a novel

about someone who plans to use computers to hack the
upcoming Presidential election. The book comes out on
October 1st. The book comes with a CDROM, and you get
to hack along with the book, which is nice. (It's a
Windows program (or really, a DOS program) but it runs
under Wine, by the way. It doesn't seem to work
correctly under winedbg though for some reason. You
can also run strings on the binary and see some
interesting stuff.

Basically, there is an encrypted message, and you have
to figure out how to decrypt it. It's not to hard. I
wrote a Perl script that did it. I sent an encrypted
message off to the contact listed in the message and I
am waiting for a response.
