Just to add a "me too". A friend's office network recently started
becoming inaccessible sometimes. I suspected that the recent
introduction
of a few XP machines might have something to do with it, in particular,
one XP laptop that is often on the LAN but not always. I have asked
them
to try to correlate the outages with the presence of this laptop. The
final results aren't in yet, but it does seem to be related. Your post
pretty much confirms my suspicions. Thanks and I hope to have a chance
to get back down there again sometime soon.
