Relevance of Torr's comments to Linux is that the distribution methodology for
Firefox is similar to the way most OSS is distributed. Make sure to read Peter
da Silva's response in the second link.

Keep your eye on Bruce Schneier's website as well, www.schneier.com, as I
suspect he'll have a thoughtful response as well in the coming weeks.
