Subject: [Nolug] NOLUG Meeting!

Hi everyone,

Although I’m a relatively new member that has never been to a NOLUG
meeting, I am excited about the possibility of having more than two people
in the same building that is as interested as I am about Linux. I have
found a few people that are interested in having a gathering to discuss and
share knowledge. However, the threads that have come across this newsgroup
never end up anywhere, nor has anyone made any concrete decisions for
meetings.
I would like to offer a meeting place for the NOLUG. It probably won’t
be permanent, but it’s a place to start that has air conditioning and
internet access. The building is located in the CBD and will have no-cost
parking after business hours or on the weekend (provided there isn’t a
special event). I will provide tables, chairs, electricity (surge
protectors) and internet access.
I would really like to see regular gatherings as there are many people
out in the world that would like to come to such a meeting to learn and have
exposure to Linux. I am an incredibly busy person, but I would like to have
the first meeting within three weeks. I am going to begin getting the
facility set up right now.
Please reply back to me and let me know if you are interested. All
levels of experience are invited - even if someone hasn't even installed
this OS yet! Bring them! It will be better that I have a good head count
(RSVP) and an idea how many people will bring computers/laptops.

Thanks. And I look forward to meeting anyone interested in being at
this gathering!

     Mark
