Please. Sun was open-source before the term "open source" was even
coined. Their contributions to BSD and little protocols like NIS and NFS
are well documented. They "get" Unix cause they *wrote* most of it 25-30
years ago. If any major corporation understands open source, it's Sun.
To say they went open source to stay relevant is ridiculous.
