Windows File Optimizer

This tool is meant to help Windows users with older hardware manage their cluttered hard drives. The principle behind Windows File Optimizer is simple… files are made up of binary data, which is basically just a jumble of ones and zeros, at the lowest level. This tool attempts to sort the ones and zeros, then compresses the resulting sorted file. After running Windows File Optimizer on your documents, .mp3s and other files, your files are shrunk down to a very small size, leaving you more room for other files you might create in the future. This type of optimization is quite efffective, and is much more efficient than relying on the standard Windows methods of disk defragging to free up extra space on your hard drive.
