Gates has a new philosophy called ``Trustworthy Computing'' where security is
the highest priority.Take a look at this tidbit:
<quote>
Gates compared the significance of his 1,600-word message, sent Tuesday, to
his ``tidal wave'' e-mails during the mid-1990s, which changed the course of
Microsoft, and much of the software industry, to focus its products on the
Internet.

I think that says it all, really. Gates was totally clueless about the
internet, and had to be hit over the head with it before he woke up and added
fuctionality to windows in order to actively interact with it. Now, security
(in the face of impending lawsuits, visits by the Defense Department, and
stirrings of revolt by the masses) is thrown in, almost as an afterthought.
One lousy email. Hah!
This <expletive> makes me sick.
