Dave,

You can use anything in the 10.x.x.x range. For instance, you can use
10.4.4.x netmask 255.255.255.0 --- however, since this is a class A address,
you could use a 255.0.0.0 netmask, or a 255.255.0.0 (or any CIDR netmask that
will fit in a class A, if you really wanted to get creative).

Likewise for the 172.16.x.x range (class B). You can use pretty much any
range you wanted to. 172.16.202.x netmask 255.255.255.0 would work just fine.

Basically (although most businesses will stick with a 10.x.x.x address, I
have found), you should choose your private IP range to scale with your
network (i.e. based on the number of hosts you have to support).
