If you guys remember, a couple of years back google released their study about
storage options, where they used their in-house disk farms as raw data. They
came back and said to forget RAID, and just make three or four copies of your
data, at least some of which needs to be off-site.

One week later, another large company released a separate study, which said
essentially the same thing.
