Hahaha... it's funny cause I thought the *exact* same thing when i started
using gmail. Like "this is crap...i need a folder!!! i don't want every
message in All Mail. it'll get way cluttered and i'll never find
anything!!". Personally I don't see the point of All Mail. It'd be like
copying the messages in all your Thunderbird folders into a single folder.
Why would i do that? So once you learn to just ignore that All Mail link,
then life is good again haha.
I had to lose the mentality that "a message belongs in a folder". Ignore
the backend datastore for a moment, be it gmailfs, mbox, maildir, pst,
whatever. When you move a message from your Inbox to another folder,
that is the exact same thing as removing the gmail Inbox label and putting
another label on the message.
