Also agree. The casuality rate was so low cause 2 million people left the
area ahead of the storm! I can't believe people saying Nagin cried wolf.
Blah... Kudos to Nagin and Jindal for getting people out... they saved
many lives.

I was in Nashville watching national news. And it was just *killing* CNN
and Fox News that everyone left and they really had nothing to report.
Geraldo was the best. I caught one segment where they were filming near
the river... Geraldo says "OH MY GOD THERE'S A MAN IN THE WATER!!
GODDAMNIT! THERE'S A MAN IN THE WATER! SOMEONE HELP HIM!! JESUS! HEYYY!
THOSE GUYS ON THE SHIP!! SOMEONE HELP HIM!! HE HAS A ROPE! THEY THREW
HIM A ROPE! THEY PULLING HIM IN! WOW!! What a dramatic rescue!! Caught
on live tv!!!" I later learned that they guy in the water and his
"rescuers" worked for the corps of engineers. The guy jumped in the water
voluntarily, with rope and life jacket, to inspect a tank near the river
that was under water. Hahaha...jackass Geraldo.

The other funny headline was "LEVEE NEAR NEW ORLEANS ABOUT TO BREAK!".
Said levee was way down in Braithwaite. Now it would have sucked for the
people down in Plaquemines (or St Bernard?) if it would've broke, but
since it is about 20 miles from NOLA, i think the city was safe. And
luckily it didn't break!
