Where does the fear come from?

In my case, from having my work stolen. It is as simple as that and I
know I'm not the only one. Sharing is fine and all, and I'm a huge fan
of sharing, but you can't argue that people who are concerned about
their work being stolen are the problem, they are the symptom. There
are good number of people out there who get ahead by cheating, cutting
corners and employing tactics that are fairly sleazy. And in some
fields, "innovative" solutions and ideas are what propel you forward in
your career.

I think your friend Dave tries to make a good point, but his misses who
really needs to be blamed for the problem of folks not wanting to share.
It isn't the people that are afraid. It is the bastards who give
people reason to be afraid of sharing that are the problem.

Like the saying says... You aren't really paranoid if people are out to
get you.
