Not exactly what you're looking for, but maybe will work?:
Arduino<http://www.arduino.cc/>
.
And if Arduino looks good to you, you're in luck, David Robinson is giving a
presentation on Arduinos & Processing tonight at 6pm at Zot'z at the 2600
meeting.

David Robinson <http://blog.derlab.com/> is giving an informal presentation
on Arduino <http://www.arduino.cc/> and Processing
<http://processing.org/>at the meeting. No video projector or
anything, just huddling around a table
and digging in. Here's a blurb on Arduino from their website:
Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on
flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists,
designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects
or environments.
And here's a blurb from Processing:
Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people
who want to program images, animation, and interactions. It is used by
students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists for learning,
prototyping, and production. It is created to teach fundamentals of computer
programming within a visual context and to serve as a software sketchbook
and professional production tool. Processing is an alternative to
proprietary software tools in the same domain.

Since it seems like there are going to be more people than I originally
thought there would be at the meeting tonight, we're going to set up a video
projector after all. It'll probably be in the back.
I talked to Michael, owner of Zot'z, yesterday and he was fine with us
setting up a projector and even offered to leave one there for us to use.
Also, he manages Cisco Switches at his day job and offered to leave one for
us to login to and play with. I said someone would probably be interested.
See y'all tonight at 6.
