Hello KellyNet,

We had six-node, 104 cluster with many features such as Samba and Sun
Grid Engine

I have three concerns. The most important is the inability to submit
jobs to the Sun Grid Engine with the

Qsub command -or rather of queue to execute. Instead the job go into a
qw status.

The cluster is on our center's network. I normally access it with a
terminal program (X-Manager) and an ftp program from my office, and all
seems normal with those connections. Also, I can ping the cluster at
two different IP addresses, numeric or system name, from my office, so
there is some communication. But, if I try to access the cluster
through Internet Explorer on my office PC, I cannot make a connection
(it used to work with the cluster, and is working with all other sites).
If I am using my X-Manager terminal program and am logged on the
cluster, I can use firefox to access the web site on the cluter for its
html documentation. So, I don't know where the failure in communication
is. Also, there is a samba server on the cluster and I cannot access
the directories that I used to be able to before these problems began.

Please let me know if you understand the situation and if you can help
me.

Sincerely,

Monica
