Did I misunderstand the scope of Brett's question? Obviously. However, I stand
by my opinion of GUI admin tools. They're great for someone from a windows
background that has to admin a *nix machine, but my productivity goes way
down (and my frustration level way up) anytime I am forced to use those
things.

I consider myself a reasonably-highly-trained *nix admin and near-passable
programmer, and market myself as such. It may be cheaper for someone to use
GUI tools, but they're no replacement for a seasoned CLI admin. Many of my
potential clients can make do GUI tools, but at some point the GUI reaches
its limit and the CLI guru gets called in (or the client decides to do
without), and the guru then proceeds to run circles around the GUI tools.
