There are some significant limitations on the Mac side with Exchange- at
least Office 2011 for Mac finally *has* Outlook again. Do not try to share
subfolders, for instance. You will beat your head against the wall

I haven't used Public Folders in Exchange 2010, but you might want to try
creating a dummy user with the shared calendar instead of a PF. We got
around one limitation with Exchange on Macs that way several versions ago.
