Thanks Joey. I didn't even think of BSD. I have Free BSD running on a couple of other boxes. I
am going to give several recomended versions.

Have you considered a BSD? NetBSD's (http://netbsd.org) claim to fame is that
it runs on probably any architecture you can think of. It's secure by default
(unlike RedHat, for instance), and you can run any linux app on it that you
like.
