Ron Johnson <ron.l.johnson@cox.net> writes:

mount with no arguments:

$ mount
/dev/hda2 on / type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
/dev/hda1 on /boot type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)

mtab is autogenerated, by the way.

You can also cat /proc/mounts though this would be Linux
specific. And you'll note it looks just like /etc/mtab.
