Radio Shack sells the modems for cell phones, so they'd know about
this. I doubt it would work to plug standard equipment in (except
through some sort of accoustic coupler).

Another option: Set up a fax relay. I'm planning on doing this for
the sites I host. A special email address that convert whatever was
sent to it to a fax. You could then send documents as email over your
cell-modem.
