Good thing that that isn't the only source of power, though. That
power is the threat of death. Power can also be had by sustaining
life.
Coercive power (threat of death, the kind that grows from the barrel
of a gun) is short-lived anyway. All tyrants die. Most of them do
not die of natural causes.
