But Mozilla works just fine in Windows! I used it for months before I got the right modem to run DSL under Linux.

It may be a tough task to switch him to Linux and show him how to create web
sites all at the same time.
If he doesn't show a desire to convert to Linux then I would just lay off
that for now and install Frontpage or one of those visual drag and drop
editors for him. And then give him a few web links to Frontpage tutorials,
or whatever you decicde to install for him.
I just used Frontpage as an example, I don't know how easy or beginner
friendly it actually is.
