Ron,
As John says, it's good to put a jumper from your wrist to the
case and a jumper from your case to ground. If you have a standard
(properly grounded) 3-prong electric outlet, you can put a metal screw
in the center of the face plate instead of the plastic one many
outlets come with. Back the screw out a little and clip the ground
strap from the case to it. Voila - good ground.
