depends on how the DNS zone is set up. you can have a timeout for the zone
as well as on each individual record. I'm not certain, however, if there's any
RFC described bound on just how short a refresh interval you can set. The lowest
I've ever set is 30 minutes on some dynamic DNS inserted A and PTR records.
