I've been on record as detesting redhat for some time now. However, I am
willing to give Fedora credit in this area. While I don't know the details
regarding Fedora, I'm sure they will be mostly on the up-and-up when it comes
to bugfixes, etc..
Query: I haven't looked, so can someone give us an update on Fedora?
I'm interested to know about up2date, for instance. RedHat's incarnation of
up2date was nagware, with constant urgings to purchase a subscription (why
does there have to be a subscription in the first place, free nor not?). I
would hope that all of that goes out the window, as a free-as-in-beer method
of patching an install would certainly contribute to better security across
the entire userbase.
