There is a new category on our website (http://nolug.org) called "What Can
Linux Do For Me?", which gives hints for using Linux.

One of the most cost-effective uses of Linux is that of recycling old hardware
that's no longer able to run windows applications. Instead of paying $100 for
a set-top firewall, an old 486 that's about to be tossed in the dumpster can
serve wonderfully as a firewall, and is probably more secure (and certainly
more useful) than most over-the-counter firewalls you can find at Best Buy.

As you probably know, we have migrated nolug.org over to the wiki, so please
take some time to look over the site, and if you find something that could be
imporved upon, feel free to add whatever bits of information you have.

Thanks.
