I reminds me of a quote I heard *many* moons ago: "never under-
estimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes".

He was referring to 9-track tapes vs. 56k leased lines, but the
premise is still the same: How many 2GB flash cards could you fit
in a minivan?

With tag-team drivers sleeping in the passenget seat, it could take
2 days (48 hours) to drive 3,000 miles The little plastic container
that flash cards come in are ~1.125 cu inches. If the back of a
minivan is 5'x4'x4', that's 11,520 cu in, fitting 10,240 chips, or
20.480TB. That averages out to 121.35MB/s.

Not too shabby!

Hitachi's new 400GB 3.5" hard drive would let you stuff 195.2TB
in the minivan, for a bandwidth of 1.16GB/s.
