  You may already be aware that the 11'th Annual Tcl/Tk Conference
is coming to New Orleans on Oct 11-15. The homepage is

  The conference consists of 2 days of tutorial sessions, and 3
days of panels and papers (and food, drink, bad jokes, etc).

  I'd like to spam the NOLug mailing list with the conference
announcement and an offer of discounted tutorial rates for Lug members.

  I'd also like to not be a jerk (at least about this).

  Is there an acceptable way to get a commercial/community service
message onto the list?
