I have a 17" Mag that is 9 years old. It still runs fine but got darker
and darker over the years...even with brightness at 100%. I replaced it
with another 17" Mag ($99 at BestBuy, didn't wanna spend $$$ on LCD) but
still use it on a 2nd machine.

Agreed AOC and KDS are garbage....haven't had any problems with Mag's
though. Also agreed that CRT's are not worth fixing...if you could even
find someone willing to fix it.
